Arrive at Ponta Delgada Airport and enjoy a smooth private transfer to your hotel. After checking into your room, the rest of the day is free for you to explore at your own pace. Wander through the charming streets of Ponta Delgada, visit the iconic São Sebastião Church, stroll along the marina, or simply relax and unwind with a glass of local wine as you settle into the Azores.
Dive into São Miguel’s natural wonders with a full-day guided tour to two iconic crater lakes. First, visit Sete Cidades, a breathtaking twin-lake caldera framed by emerald hills, with a short hike and boat ride across the blue-and-green waters. Enjoy a farm-to-table lunch with Azorean specialties. Then, head to Lagoa do Fogo, a pristine volcanic lake nestled in rugged peaks, perfect for photos. Return to Ponta Delgada for a relaxing evening.
Discover the geothermal wonders of Furnas Valley on a full-day guided tour. Marvel at bubbling hot springs and taste the famous cozido stew, cooked underground by volcanic heat (lunch included). Visit Terra Nostra Botanical Gardens, where you’ll soak in iron-rich thermal baths amid lush azaleas and enjoy entry to this iconic park. After breakfast at your hotel in São Miguel, you’ll be transferred to Ponta Delgada Airport for your direct flight to Pico Island. Flights typically operate between midday and 6:00 PM, and the most suitable option will be selected based on your travel dates.
Upon arrival, enjoy a private transfer to your hotel in Madalena for check-in. If your flight arrives earlier in the afternoon, you’ll be taken to a local Adega for a relaxed wine and cheese tasting, showcasing Pico’s unique volcanic wines and regional products.
The remainder of the day is free to explore Madalena at your own pace—stroll along the waterfront, enjoy local cafés, or take in the iconic views of Mount Pico as you settle into the island’s laid-back atmosphere.
After breakfast, depart by shared van to Casa da Montanha, the official trailhead of Mount Pico. Accompanied by a certified guide, begin the ascent of Portugal’s highest peak (2,351 m) along a marked volcanic trail.
The hike takes approximately 6–8 hours round trip, passing through dramatic lava landscapes and offering panoramic views over Pico and neighboring islands on clear days. After reaching the summit and enjoying time at the top, descend back to Casa da Montanha and return to the hotel in the afternoon.

After breakfast, transfer to the marina for a morning ferry to Faial (Horta). Upon arrival, enjoy a full-day guided van tour exploring the island’s highlights, including volcanic landscapes, viewpoints, and the historic town of Horta. Lunch at a local restaurant is included.
In the late afternoon, return to the port for the 4:30 PM ferry back to Pico. After arrival, the evening is free to relax, dine locally, or explore Madalena at your own pace.
After breakfast, transfer to Pico Airport for your direct flight back to São Miguel (typically scheduled between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, depending on availability). Upon arrival at Ponta Delgada Airport, you’ll be met and transferred back to your hotel.
The rest of the day is free to relax, enjoy the hotel facilities, or explore Ponta Delgada at your own pace.
